Opticians

Having served the optical professional since its inception, Tax-Link, has built a wealth of knowledge and experience in dealing with taxation issues faced by Opticians. Our focus is on Tax Planning and compliance.

We act for opticians and optometrists throughout the whole of England, Scotland and Wales.

As specialist ophthalmic accountants our aim is to provide you with proactive VAT, accounting and business forecasts and advice. As we work closely with our clients, we understand the challenges that opticians may face. We are expert accountants who specialize in Taxation, VAT and accounting. Our experience in these matters has helped opticians all over the country to save money.

One of the main challenges that opticians face is the complexity of partial exemption VAT and the de-minimus rule. We offer guidance on how to make sure you do not exceed the de-minimus limit. To be within the limit, you must not have input VAT attributed to exempt supplies of above £7,500 per year (£1,875 per quarter or £625 per month) and your input VAT attributed to exempt supplies must not be greater than 50% of the total VAT in that quarter.
